Data protection and privacy law are a distinctive part of Donal’s practice. In addition to advising clients on GDPR and data protection matters, Donal previously served as a Data Protection Officer within the financial services sector, bringing practical experience of how organisations manage regulatory obligations, privacy risks, data breaches and compliance requirements in practice.

Donal advises employers, employees, businesses and individuals on Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), data breaches, GDPR compliance, workplace privacy issues, records management, governance and regulatory obligations. His experience is supported by formal qualifications in data protection and privacy law, including the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PC.dp.).

This combination of legal practice and hands-on data protection experience provides a practical perspective on both the legal and operational challenges that arise when organisations and individuals seek to protect their rights, fulfil their obligations or respond to data protection issues.
